War Department expands AI toolset with ChatGPT and Grok integration

The U.S. Department of Defense has added ChatGPT and Grok to its GenAI.mil platform, joining Google's Gemini as available AI system options for military applications.
The War Department increased its artificial intelligence offerings by launching versions of Grok and ChatGPT to GenAI.mil to go alongside Google's Gemini, according to a September 1, 2026 announcement from U.S. Department of Defense News. This expansion provides military personnel with additional generative AI capabilities for operational use.
